There is an interesting change that will be happening over the next year for Exchange Online consumers. Microsoft has announced that Basic authentication with Client Submission (SMTP AUTH) will be deprecated in September 2025.

I'll be following this thread as it evolves but the one thing that stands out to me is what to do about MFPs?

There's some interesting documentation mentioning High Volume Email (HVE) Accounts as it moves through preview that could be a solution for many.

Could this be the coming months that we see major MFP Manufacturers implement firmware / software options for OAUTH?

Expanding on that.... how do we ensure we adequately secure the MFP's to ensure that our secrets can't be stolen.

Hmmm.... time to ponder.....
